A fast, easy appetizer recipe that travels well. Perfect for parties, particularly during the fall social season.

1 stick butter, no substitutes
1 cup New York sharp cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 cup flour
Pecan halves

Preheat oven to 350°

Cream butter; add cheese, then salt, pepper and flour. Roll into small balls and press a pecan half into each ball to flatten. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes.

Yield: 40 – 45 biscuits.
