An easy fast-fix side dish ingredients kept on hand in most kitchens. Serve the lemon garlic flavored pasta with chicken, shrimp or a salad for a light supper.

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 – 6 cloves garlic
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
8 ounces thin spaghetti
1/3 cup fresh parsley

Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions while you prepare the seasoning sauce.

Wash and shake the parsley dry; chop. Peel and mince the garlic.

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add the olive oil and garlic. Stirring constantly, cook for approximately 1 minute. Add the lemon juice, salt and pepper.

Bring the pan just to the boiling point; remove from heat and pour over the cooked pasta. Add the chopped parsley and toss gently to coat the pasta and distribute the parsley.

Yield: 4 servings.
